Your Guide

Your group will be guided by nonprofit veteran and certified leadership coach, Charisse M. Williams and special guest facilitators. Before become a full time coach, Charisse spent 25 years working in the nonprofit sector on a variety of social justice issues. She has served as Founding Director of Posse Atlanta, President of Young Audiences Woodruff Arts Center, and Managing Director of New Site Development at iMentor. Across all of those roles she raised millions of dollars, managed boards and high-performing groups of volunteers. Bottom Line: she has been in your shoes. You can read more about Charisse here.

Your guide on this journey has been in your shoes, knows your struggles, and, alongside the other members of your Circle, will help you find a path forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this a class or a program with a curriculum?

A: No, the subject matter discussed will be based on the issues that members bring to the table for support.

Q: Is Charisse playing the role of “instructor” for the group?

A: No, Charisse is not playing a teaching role in this space. She is holding the container in which peer coaching takes place. However, as a part of the discussion, if her experience, advice, and best practices can be helpful, she will offer them. The idea is for all members to learn from one another.

Q: Is there any support offered outside of the sessions?

A: All support is offered within the confines of the session with the addition of articles, tools, and resources in an online digital library that you will have access to. When not in session, the staff will be taking care of other clients and themselves. The group members may elect to create a group chat so they can be in touch and offer support between sessions.

Q: What happens if I need to miss a session?

A: We ask that you do your best to attend every week. Setting boundaries around the time you set aside for your personal growth and development is a practice that will support your overall well-being. However, we know that things happen. Because this is not a class with a curriculum, you will not miss content that will leave you feeling behind the next week.

Q: Will sessions be recorded?

A: Because members will be sharing intimate details about their personal and professional lives, the sessions will not be recorded. That will allow everyone to speak and share freely.
