Need to reclaim your focus and peace? Read this now.

Last week I conducted laser coaching sessions for a company during a professional development day.

After many back-to-back conversations, three things emerged that were causing a lot of frustration and suffering. Having coached and trained hundreds of leaders, I see these challenges over and over again:

  1. No weekly plan — Many were starting the week without clarity or intention, moving from task to task in reactive mode.
What helps: Take 30 minutes on Sunday to name your priorities, block time to work on them, while also carving out time for rest, self-care and fun.

  2. Not accepting trade-offs — There was a real pressure to do everything, which leads to feelings of regret and FOMO.
What helps: Trade-offs are a part of life. The key is to make them consciously. When we choose from our values we find more peace and contentment in our choices.

  3. Focusing on things you can’t control — So much energy was being spent on what others might think, what might go wrong, and work dynamics and conditions that are unlikely to change.
What helps: Shift your focus to the actions you can take today to achieve your desired outcome. That’s where your power lives.

Which of these things shows up most often for you? And what’s one small shift you can make this week to reclaim your peace and focus?
